After spending way too much time exploring Flickr mashups and web apps, I've come to the conclusion no one has an excuse for not being creative. Anything is possible from creating calendars to comics. Big Hugh Labs Flickr toys has an application called Captioner. Comic captions can be applied to any picture. Something different for photo albums, scrap booking, family reunions, programs etc.
